I share many of your views about youth ministry today. Your blog about youth ministry in the north featured many of the same concerns and challenges that I have encountered in South Florida. Maybe it’s the affluence that both of our areas share that might have something to do with it.

Good book list – definitely agree with you!
Check out “The Hole in our Gospel,” by Richard Stearns, and “Crazy Love,” by Francis Chan. Both are excellent and convicting reads. Our church’s trip to Haiti and JIHM just got cancelled until after April 1st, due to no flights being allowed in until then.
